The Diet Tech consults with the Registered Dietitian to ensure implementation of the best standard of nutrition and dietary services. Responsibilities include dietary support, grocery budget allocation, client menu planning, maintaining a clean and well stocked kitchen, cooking and baking as recommended, and appropriately discerning between appropriate and inappropriate client eating behaviors. This experience will prepare you to be a Registered Dietitian with hands on experience, learning from awesome professionals, and working closely with a complex population.

Part time schedule usually means between 5 and 15 hours a week
Diet Techs at our eating disorder outpatient facilities usually work 3 days a week (on Saturday and 2 week days). Between 11 am and 7 pm M - F or 9 am to 3 pm Saturday.
This position is at an outpatient mental health and substance abuse treatment facility for adolescents with comprehensive family program and family support. Our specialized programs are integrated partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs. Program hours are Monday through Saturday, between the hours of 11 am and 8 pm, Saturday 9 am to 3 pm.
Clients attend as many as six days per week or as few as three days per week, when clinically appropriate. As each client begins one of our Resilience outpatient programs, they are assessed by our multidisciplinary team and provided with a comprehensive, personalized treatment plan.
Must have a thorough knowledge of nutrition and dietary interventions in the mental health field; able to communicate with persons from all educational and cultural backgrounds; have strong written and verbal communication skills; must demonstrate tact, initiative, resourcefulness, professional manner, enthusiasm, and a non-judgmental attitude. Our Diet Techs are self-motivated and creative.
