Position Overview: 


The LVN/LPN is responsible for assisting and supporting residents through the entire treatment experience from admission through discharge. The LVN/LPN is responsible for communicating their observation and insight to the treatment team (i.e. therapists, dietitian, psychiatrist, pediatrician and facility administrator) to ensure that the team is comprehensively addressing each individual's particular issues. The LVN/LPN introduces each new resident to her fellow residents and the treatment staff, and orients each resident to the rules, expectations, and routine of the daily treatment schedule.


Position Schedule

On Call schedule covers PTO and sick time. They have no guaranteed hours in a week. Covered shifts will typically be any hours Monday - Friday, between the hours of 8 am – 6 pm, based on scheduling needs.


Facility Details

This position is in a residential eating disorder facility for adolescents with comprehensive family program and family support. The facility is a homelike setting in a residential neighborhood (view our website for a virtual tour). Treatment in this setting allows our residents to feel more comfortable in familiar surroundings and provides greater transferability and internalization of the treatment experience to life after treatment. 

In our small, intimate settings we treat a maximum of eight clients at a time to optimize individualization for clients and families maintain an intimate setting and a high staff to client ratio.

  • Must have considerable knowledge of nursing principles and practice
  • Must demonstrate knowledge of medications and their proper application and use
  • Able to take vital signs
  • Able to provide First Aid
  • LVN/LPN Certification
  • Must be licensed in current state


  • Completes H&P upon admission for each resident
  • Develops and initiates the Nursing Care Plan
  • Facilitating therapeutic groups
  • Clear resident documentation
  • Implements Physician Orders Is available for consultation after hours and returns telephone calls/pages within ten-minute time frame
  • Administers medication as prescribed Counts narcotics each day, logs appropriately
  • Meets regularly with medical staff to discuss resident treatment
  • Provides assessment of medical problems as needed
  • Performs primary first aid and determines need for physician notification
  • The LVN/LPN consults with the physician and psychiatrist to ensure appropriate medical interventions.
  • The LVN/LPN meets with each resident, completes a daily assessment, and administers all prescription medication.
  • The LVN/LPN is responsible to carry out any orders received from the physician and psychiatrist, and reports information to the Program Director and Facility
