    The Position


    The Director of Nursing supervises, heads, and coordinates nursing activities and nursing personnel in all Center For Discovery locations. This individual will evaluate all nursing activities to ensure patient care, staff relations, and efficiency of service. 

    Qualifications


    • Must be a Registered Nurse with current licensure in the state of California

    • Must have a Bachelors of Nursing. Masters degree preferred

    • Two years experience with compliance and personnel management required

    • Experience with adolescent psychiatric care preferred

    Responsibilities


    • Oversees Center for Discovery’s nursing operations to uphold established mission, vision, core values and strategic plan and ensure their proper execution. 

    • Provides leadership and direction to nursing staff to assure that organizational standards and policies are maintained and followed.  This includes, but is not limited to, Joint Commission facility standards and staff training requirements.

    • Must be knowledgeable in all policies, procedures, regulations, and laws both locally and nationally.

    • Perform chart audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with all policies, procedures, regulations, and laws both locally and nationally.

    • Develop training materials for nursing staff to include training videos and manuals.

    • Train all nursing staff in regards to all protocols and procedures.

    • Ensures staff adherence to Infection Control Protocols.

    • Consult with doctors, therapist, and others when needed.

    • Responsible for creating and updating all protocol manuals.

    • Perform MAR audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.

    • Occasionally administer medications to patients at multiple locations.

    • Some direct care required.

    • Document into Company Best Notes, Electronic Health Record and other company systems as needed.
